Its been almost 7 months since I have written my last Journey as a traveler. With lots of hitches, finally we packed our bags with a pair of shoes and crystal clear vision to reach a secluded, unspoilt and peaceful but holy place called "Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple".
Faridabad --> Delhi --> Noida --> Meerut --> Mavana --> Bijnour --> Najibabad --> Kotdwara --> Lansdowne --> Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple
Journey was started early in the morning and so does our battle against traffic, loud horns, noisy roads and big city buildings till we reached a place called "Meerut". We were well planned to take a route via Mavana to Kotdwara as this is the best route for any traveler (As suggested by one of my friend Sameer Tyagi). The huge fields of Sugarcane, Bananas, Mango trees and lush green wheat fields were welcoming us. The beauty and freshness was getting better and better as we were approaching towards our destination. We faced some challenges as we reached Najibabad but as said "no pain no gain". With lots of struggle finally we crossed Najibabad and reached Kotawara. We were not having any clue about the surprises we were about to get after Kotawara. The roads were amazing, the air was so fresh to beat your all stress, the tree were shining like stars, the sun light was like a sheet of gold on the soil and the atmosphere was crystal clear to give utmost satisfaction to highly synthetic life. The drive till Lansdowne was about 40KM's from Kotdwara but that was a life time experience. It was getting darker and we stayed overnight near to Lansdowne to get ready for next day adventure.
Day 2 started with a heaven like drive of 39 KM's from Lansdowne to Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple, words are not enough to express the beauty our eyes have captured for lifetime. The drive was one of the best drive in mountains I have ever done. All zig-zag ways, ups and downs, one mountain, then another then another and so on...our body and soul was playinh hide and seek with clouds, big gaint like trees were telling there stories and you were so close to the nature that you want to live each and every moment there. Its was simply amazing. Then we reached Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple right in the middle of Jungle, surrounded by thousands of trees and mountains. It was believed that demon "Tarkasur" worshiped Lord Shiva for years at this location and Lord Shiva appeared at this location in front of Tarkasur. Since then this place is one of the holy shrine for Lord Shiva Devotes. This place is so calm that anyone can do meditation for years in the lap of nature. The positive vibes at this location charge your soul with the high pluses. We spent some time there and started our journey back to the town and finally to the hotel.
Early next morning we saw the Sun Rise and packed our bags for the return journey. The short but memorable journey gave us such an incredible experience that will live in heart forever.
